Wylie Davis, an Atlanta native, earned his BA in English from Emory University, to then go on and earn his MFA from Boston University. While living in New York City, he was writer and editor for The Museum of the City of New York and for the Journal of the American Institute of Graphic Artists. Later, he taught English there for ten years.
Mr. Davis has been Fine Arts Consultant in the Institute of Community Development at the University of Georgia, where he taught classes in Art History and seminars in the humanities. Since then he’s been a Language Arts tutor for 17 years, preparing students for the SSAT, SAT, and the ACT. He loves teaching literature and writing, and in so doing has learned that students respond positively to warm individual support, believing that self-confidence is one of the greatest gifts you can give a young person.
